Summary: The role of Fund Controller involves managing the full fund reporting process for a globally respected alternative investor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective fund operations and reporting across multiple funds and strategies. The successful candidate will contribute to finance transformation initiatives while providing timely financial information to senior management. This is a hands-on role that demands a strong understanding of fund structures and operations within the alternatives sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full fund reporting process across multiple closed-ended funds and strategies
  • Oversee third-party administrators on NAVs, investor reporting, and capital account statements
  • Review and support capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and waterfall models
  • Liaise with auditors and tax advisors through the year-end and compliance processes
  • Assist with day-to-day fund operations, including cash flow monitoring and transaction support
  • Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, including systems, controls, and process efficiency
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to internal stakeholders and senior management

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with experience in fund control and/or fund operations
  • Background in alternatives — infrastructure, private equity, real estate, or broader real assets
  • Strong understanding of fund structures, investor reporting, and capital activity
  • Experience liaising with administrators, auditors, and tax advisors
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
  • Able to hit the ground running in a lean, high-performing team
  • Prior FTC or interim experience helpful, but not essential

We’re supporting a globally respected alternative investor in hiring a Fund Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract . The business manages a diversified platform spanning real estate, private equity, and infrastructure, and this is a rare opportunity to work across multiple funds, strategies, and jurisdictions. This is a broad and hands-on role, covering both fund control and fund operations . You'll work closely with administrators, auditors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery across reporting cycles, capital activity, and process improvement initiatives.
