Functional Tester

Summary: The Functional Tester role involves validating application behavior and executing test scenarios while documenting results. The position requires collaboration with multiple teams to define testing criteria and implement a test framework. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site work per week in London, and is outside IR35. An active SC clearance is advantageous, and the contract has a scope of 6 months with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validating application behaviour.
• Execute test scenarios and document results.
• Identifying risk areas associated with the project and testing objectives.
• Define and implement a test framework.
• Determine testing environment requirements.
• Create scripts for automated testing where required.
• Working with multiple teams to determine testing criteria.
• Analysing data, generating reports and bug lists based on testing outcome.

Key Skills:

• A good understanding of Microsoft product stack.
• Previous experience of Server migrations.
• A good understanding of Linux, Docker (Not essential).
• Experience of using Jira/Wiki (not essential).
• Working in air-gapped environments (not essential).

Salary (Rate): £450/day
