Summary: The Functional Business Analyst role focuses on understanding and documenting business requirements related to Digital Safe and Reporting, while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with IT strategies. The position involves data analysis, project lifecycle management, and quality assurance of deliverables, particularly in the context of eDiscovery and compliance. The analyst will also provide training and promote best practices in business analysis within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing knowledge of business requirements around Digital Safe and Reporting.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to document functional requirements and workflows.
  • Planning analysis work with Functional Lead and Project Managers, highlighting risks and dependencies.
  • Ensuring solutions align with the IT roadmap for strategic platform development.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data for Digital Safe tracking and presentation.
  • Providing business context to development and testing teams, reviewing test cases.
  • Supporting Programme/Project Manager in project lifecycle management.
  • Designing and developing databases for data collection and reporting.
  • Training operational users on platform changes.
  • Promoting business analysis practices and standards within the vendor model.
  • Ensuring compliance with documented standards and frameworks.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Business, Economics, or Computer Science, or equivalent certification/experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in eDiscovery or unstructured data governance.
  • Strong track record in Business Analysis within Financial Services.
  • High-level understanding of Compliance archiving architecture.
  • Knowledge of Data Migration Patterns for Compliance Archiving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in logical design of system solutions and business process modeling.
  • Data analysis and use of databases, including prototyping tools.
  • Experience in business process re-engineering.
  • Awareness of regulatory initiatives in Records Management and Archiving.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management tools and techniques.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving experience.
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.
