Summary: The Business Analyst role focuses on managing and presenting complex Digital Safe messaging data, acting as a liaison between business and technical teams. The position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure compliance with standards, and support project management throughout the lifecycle. The candidate will also be responsible for data analysis, solution implementation, and promoting best practices in business analysis. This role requires a strong background in eDiscovery and unstructured data governance within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing a sound knowledge of the business requirements around Digital Safe and Reporting
- Liaising with key stakeholders to understand, scope, and document functional requirements, workflows, and results of analysis
- Working with Functional Lead and Project Managers to plan analysis work and highlight key risks, issues, and dependencies
- Collaborating with platform leads and system architects to ensure solutions align with the IT roadmap
- Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing data for tracking and presenting Digital Safe data
- Providing business context to development and testing teams, reviewing test cases and execution
- Supporting the Programme/Project Manager in planning, managing, and monitoring project lifecycle
- Designing and developing specific databases for collection, tracking, and reporting
- Providing training to operational users on relevant platform changes
- Promoting better business analysis practices and fostering adoption of analysis standards
- Ensuring project deliverables comply with documented standards and frameworks
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years as Business Analyst in eDiscovery or unstructured data governance
- Strong track record of Business Analysis within Financial Services
- High-level understanding of Compliance archiving architecture
- Understanding of Data Migration Patterns for Compliance Archiving
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience in logical design of system solutions
- Data analysis, use of databases, and simple data modeling
- Experience in business process re-engineering
- Exposure to multiple software development lifecycle methodologies
- Awareness of regulatory initiatives in Records Management, Archiving, and eDiscovery
- Negotiation and conflict resolution experience
- Knowledge of Quality Management tools and techniques
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving experience
- Ability to work in virtual teams and matrixed organizations
- Advanced knowledge in MS Office products
- Some experience in email and messaging systems, digital safes, and data protection
