Summary: The role of Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer focuses on designing and delivering digital banking solutions within a fast-growing digital bank in Belgium. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications within a microservices ecosystem
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories
  • Develop high-quality frontend and backend solutions using modern JavaScript technologies
  • Build and maintain secure and performant APIs (REST and/or gRPC)
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other developers
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies (daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives)
  • Ensure code quality through testing (unit, integration, E2E)
  • Participate in CI/CD processes and deployments
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and technical improvements

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience with React.js (with styled-components) and React Native
  • Strong expertise in Node.js with TypeScript
  • Experience with API design (REST and/or gRPC) and OpenAPI / Swagger
  • Knowledge of ORM tools (TypeORM or modern alternatives) is a plus
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
  • Familiarity with AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in full stack JavaScript development
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of banking or financial services is a plus
  • Proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus
  • Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code, C# .NET, GraphQL, and exposure to other backend technologies (e.g., PHP) is a plus

Our client is a fast-growing digital bank undergoing a major transformation of its IT landscape. The organization is modernizing its legacy systems into a microservices architecture hosted on AWS, with a strong focus on Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

Your Role

As a Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality digital banking solutions.
