Summary: The role of Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer focuses on designing and delivering digital banking solutions within a fast-growing digital bank in Belgium. The position emphasizes collaboration in Agile teams and requires a strong background in both frontend and backend technologies, particularly Node.js and React. The engineer will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions while ensuring code quality and performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications within a microservices ecosystem
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories
- Develop high-quality frontend and backend solutions using modern JavaScript technologies
- Build and maintain secure and performant APIs (REST and/or gRPC)
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and other developers
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies (daily stand-up, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Ensure code quality through testing (unit, integration, E2E)
- Participate in CI/CD processes and deployments
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical improvements
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with React.js (with styled-components) and React Native
- Strong expertise in Node.js with TypeScript
- Experience with API design (REST and/or gRPC) and OpenAPI / Swagger
- Knowledge of ORM tools (TypeORM or modern alternatives) is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full stack JavaScript development
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of banking or financial services is a plus
- Proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus
- Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code, C# .NET, GraphQL, and exposure to other backend technologies (e.g., PHP) is a plus

Your Role
As a Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality digital banking solutions.
