Summary: The role of Full-Stack Python Developer involves designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications for a leading health tech consultancy, with a focus on public sector delivery, particularly within the NHS. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and services.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Experience using Typescript, React, and Node.
- Implementing data processing pipelines using PySpark for efficient data analysis.
- Integrating with AWS services and utilizing cloud infrastructure for scalable and reliable applications.
- Conducting code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and performance.
- Writing clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborating with the team to continuously improve software development processes and tools.
- Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in Python development and AWS services.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in Python development, including proficiency in core Python libraries and frameworks.
- Public Sector ideally, NHS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, particularly in designing and implementing solutions using services like Lambda, S3, EC2, and Redshift.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing and analysis.
- Familiarity with database technologies, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
