Summary: The role is for a Full Stack JavaScript Developer on a contract basis, focusing on a greenfield project for a SaaS start-up in the B2B retail sector. The developer will collaborate closely with the CTO and product team to create a new payments platform. This position requires strong expertise in both frontend and backend technologies, particularly Vue and Node.js. The contract is hybrid, requiring three days onsite per week, and is outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a new payments platform for a SaaS start-up.
- Collaborate with the CTO and product team to design and implement features.
- Develop and document scalable APIs and microservices.
- Integrate third-party services, particularly Stripe.
- Manage PostgreSQL databases and design relational data models.
- Ensure security, authentication, and role-based access at scale.
- Work independently and make architectural decisions as needed.
- Participate in Agile teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of full stack JavaScript experience with strong commercial use of Vue and Node.
- Strong TypeScript fundamentals and ability to enforce typing and testing standards.

I'm working with a SaaS start-up in the B2B retail space they've just closed Series A and are kicking off a new payments platform for their client base. They're building smart tools for retailers to manage suppliers, stock, and payments all in one place.
They need a strong full stack JavaScript contractor to help lead this greenfield build. You'll be working closely with the CTO and product team to bring the new feature to life.
The stack:- Frontend: Vue3, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, PostgreSQL, Stripe API, GraphQL exposure, RESTful API design
- Infrastructure: Docker, AWS, CI/CD Pipelines
What they need from you:
- 5+ years of full stack JavaScript experience with strong commercial use of Vue and Node
