Summary: The role of Senior Java/Python Full Stack Developer in Glasgow involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. The candidate will utilize Java, Python, Spring Boot, and AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The contract is for 6 months, starting in April 2026, with a requirement to work on-site five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture using AWS, SQL, Spring Boot, Java, Spring MVC, JavaScript, Python, and MySQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Some hands-on knowledge of React JS, Redux, HTML5, CSS3.
- Some exposure to frontend testing tools like Jest.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Implement security and data protection measures.
- Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
- Oversee the development of documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies.
Key Skills:
