Summary: The Full Stack Engineer (Python/React) role involves supporting a secure platform for large-scale data processing and cyber analytics in a mission-critical environment. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams to develop and enhance high-volume systems. This is a full-time contract opportunity based in a hybrid working arrangement in London. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Python and React, among other technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve system issues via proactive monitoring and dashboards
  • Design and build critical applications for data analysis and querying
  • Optimise system performance through code reviews and refactoring
  • Develop new ways of visualising and querying large datasets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support 1st line operations and maintain platform health
  • Document support processes and provide technical guidance where needed

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in Python 3 and PySpark
  • Hands-on with Elasticsearch, including tuning and data discovery
  • Proficient with distributed datasets (HDFS, CEPHFS)
  • Frontend development with React, NextJS, MUI
  • Familiarity with Scala for data insights and ad hoc queries
  • Infrastructure tooling like Ansible and Puppet is a plus
  • Background in networking, protocol analysis, or ethernet stacks
  • Strong debugging, scripting, and software testing capabilities

Salary (Rate): £650 daily

We're looking for a skilled Software Engineer to support a secure platform used for large-scale data processing and cyber analytics. This is an exciting contract opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical environment, working closely with engineering teams to develop and improve high-volume, high-velocity systems.
