Summary: The Full Stack Engineer role involves developing a strategic internal product called ComPass for a leading global IT services supplier. This position is based in Sheffield, UK, and offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring attendance at the office three days a week. The contract is temporary, lasting over six months, and aims to enhance workforce management through improved data accessibility and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the project team, design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code, automation of processes where viable, interfacing solution to golden source primary repositories.
- Working alongside business analysis, translate application requirements and use cases into functional features.
- Agile lead: Identify bottlenecks and bugs, devising solution-based responses to problems.
- Maintain excellent code quality and documentation.
- Working with the IT service manager, ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Support the ongoing development and productionisation of .NET solution.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems.
- Familiarity with the .NET including .NET 6 onwards.
- Solid experience with relational databases.
- Familiarity with MVC and WebAPI.
- Front End development skills including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools including GIT.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Skill for writing reusable C# libraries.
- Familiar with various design and software architectural patterns.
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Full Stack Engineer to be based at their client's office in Sheffield, UK.
This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Sheffield office 3 days per week .
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

As a key contributor within the Chief Operating Office (COO) Workforce Management Services, you will spearhead the development of ComPass, a strategic internal product. ComPass is envisioned as a centralized catalogue that unifies fragmented people-related information across regions and service lines. By guiding users to reliable repositories, systems, and processes, the product will improve accessibility, transparency, and collaboration. You'll play a pivotal role in bridging information silos, integrating CTO and local datasets, and creating a trusted single source of truth to support workforce planning and decision-making.
