Summary: The Fullstack Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing applications, APIs, and data architectures using Golang and React. The position involves enhancing performance and scalability while working on a long-term government contract through a specialized consultancy. Candidates are expected to have strong experience in JavaScript, backend development, and CI/CD practices. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications, APIs, and reusable client-side layers.
- Work on backend services, data architectures, and frontend web applications.
- Design and optimise database schemas and data storage solutions.
- Enhance Kafka processing for simulation outputs.
- Set up and manage project pipelines and infrastructure.
- Review and improve engineering work to ensure high-quality code.
Key Skills:
- Strong JavaScript SPA experience (React preferred).
- Backend expertise with Golang.
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems (Kafka preferred).
- Database management skills (Postgres ideal, relational & document-based).
- CI/CD best practices (Git, automated testing, pipelines).
- Containerisation deployments (Docker or Kubernetes).
