Summary: The Fullstack Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications using TypeScript for the frontend and Go for the backend. The position requires collaboration with architects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, with a preference for candidates who can work on-site in Bristol two days a week. Candidates must also be eligible for security clearance due to the nature of the work. This is a contract position with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable fullstack applications
- Write clean, efficient, and testable code using TypeScript (frontend) and Go (backend)
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to shape system design
- Work within a flexible and fast-paced development environment
- Support deployment, monitoring, and tuning of cloud-based services
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React or similar)
- Solid Go (Golang) backend development skills
- Experience with cloud-native application design (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, containerisation (Docker), and modern DevOps practices
- Agile development background
