Summary: The role of Full Stack Developer involves working with Python and React/Typescript within a leading energy trading organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python and associated frameworks.
- Contribute to the build-out of a live Front Office business application.
- Utilize APIs including REST and/or GraphQL.
- Work with message queues using Kafka and manage data with Postgres.
- Collaborate with system owners and business units to produce high-level technical designs.
- Liaise with infrastructure, cloud, security, and network teams to ensure architectural compliance.
- Use continuous delivery pipelines to release new features and functionality.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in Python development tools.
- Experience in commodities trading or a similar financial organization.
- Commercial programming experience with React/Typescript.

Ready to join a fast moving, industry leading development team working on a cutting-edge post trade platform?
Our client, a large energy trading organisation are looking for a strong Back End Python developer, one with a vast amount of experience using Python and associated frameworks to contribute to the build out of a live Front Office business application. As a product developer you will have the opportunity to design, develop and maintain applications using modern Python, API's including REST and/or GraphQL . Kafta is in use for message queues and Postgres as open-source relational database management system. This post trade platform is based on AWS build out so experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, ECS and Appsync is preferred.
The successful candidate will work closely with all system owners and business units and have the opportunity to produce high level technical designs and liaise with relevant group infrastructure, cloud, security and network teams to ensure it fits with architectural patterns and practices. You will use continuous delivery pipelines to release new features and functionality
In order to qualify for this role you will need to demonstrate current use of Python development tools. You will have experience in commodities trading or a similar financially based organisation. Commercial programming experience with React/Typescript is certainly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates that are well versed with AWS cloud services.
