Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain full stack applications using Kotlin and TypeScript.
- Build cloud-native services and APIs within AWS environments.
- Develop scalable Back End services and modern Front End applications.
- Contribute to the modernisation and replacement of Legacy systems and services.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to implement solution designs and technical standards.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Ensure solutions are secure, resilient and performant.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews and architecture decisions.
- Work closely with delivery teams, product stakeholders and end users to translate requirements into working software.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support knowledge sharing and promote engineering excellence across the programme.
Experience & Skills
- Strong commercial experience developing software with Kotlin and TypeScript.
- Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud-native development principles.
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
- Experience working with modern CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of testing strategies, including unit, integration and automated testing.
- Experience working within Agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, product teams, designers and stakeholders.
- Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes, ideally within the public sector, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset.
Contract Length: ASAP Start - Until 31st March
Location: Hybrid, onsite twice a month to client sites in London
