Summary: The Full Stack Python Developer role involves working within an agile software development team to enhance and deliver functionality for a public sector organization. The position requires a blend of front-end and back-end development skills, with a focus on maintaining high-quality code standards and compliance. This is a hybrid role based in London, offering a competitive daily rate and classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in an agile software development team to deliver functionality and enhancements
  • Contribute to the decision-making process using technical knowledge and understanding of systems
  • Take responsibility for the code base of applications, ensuring high quality and adherence to standards
  • Develop strategies or policies to support the use of emerging technologies and systems
  • Manage front- and back-end web resources ensuring quality and compliance
  • Establish partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement impact/risk assessments of new digital services and systems
  • Conduct regular research to keep technologies and standards up to date
  • Champion Agile ways of working and ensure alignment to internal Service Standards

Key Skills:

  • Extensive Python and Django experience
  • Object-oriented programming techniques
  • Microsoft web development technologies including C# .NET/.NET Core, MVC
  • Front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, SCSS/SASS, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Microsoft SQL Server database technologies, SQL queries, and database development
  • Knowledge of software development approaches including SOLID, TDD, BDD
  • Cloud-based CI/CD integrated DevOps processes
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React/Angular/Vue
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, specifically WCAG
  • Experience developing modern web apps using the Microsoft Tech stack
  • Experience in an Agile software development team and Agile ceremonies
  • Experience in code reviewing
  • Experience developing APIs and API clients

Salary (Rate): £525
