The Role
You'll join a small overseas finance team, taking ownership of bookkeeping, month-end close, reconciliations, and indirect tax compliance across a portfolio of international entities.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Real-time bookkeeping and posting of transactions across overseas and UK holding entities
- Reviewing supplier invoices with a focus on correct tax treatment by jurisdiction
- Coordinating overseas VAT/WHT return preparation, payment, and filing with local tax authorities
- Preparing monthly trial balances, reporting packs, and balance sheet reconciliations (bank, intercompany, accruals/prepayments)
- Calculating and invoicing quarterly advisory fees; managing intercompany recharge invoices
- Supporting statutory financial statement preparation under IFRS
- Responding to audit requests and maintaining well-organised financial records
- Contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Part-qualified/qualified accountant or accounting degree/diploma holder
- Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting experience
- Solid understanding of overseas VAT/WHT compliance and balance sheet reconciliations
- Confident Excel skills for data analysis
- Experience with smaller or overseas subsidiary entities with manual processes (desirable)
- Familiarity with major ERP/accounting systems (desirable)
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a varied workload independently
