Summary: As a Frontend Developer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and responsive web applications by collaborating with design and user experience teams. Your role involves developing front-end applications using React and Next.js, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This position is a hybrid role based in Sustainable Ventures, focusing on climate change initiatives. The contract is initially for 2 to 3 months with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support front-end applications using React and Next.js
- Ensure seamless user experiences by optimizing performance and responsiveness
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT tokens
- Work with RESTful APIs to fetch and manage data efficiently
- Develop reusable and maintainable UI components
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Collaborate with back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and stakeholders
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across various browsers and devices
Key Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in front-end development
- Converting Figma designs into functional HTML
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- Typescript experience is a must
- Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js
- Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG)
- Experience with JWT-based authentication and authorization
- Expertise in integrating and working with RESTful APIs
- Experience building Single Page Applications (SPAs) and Headless Applications
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or other modern CSS frameworks
- Understanding of component-based architecture and best practices
- Version control using Git and GitHub
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams
- Proactive attitude and the ability to provide constructive feedback
- A commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within scope
