Summary: The Frontend Developer role is a six-month contract position focused on developing and maintaining high-quality customer-facing applications using React and modern JavaScript. The position requires collaboration within an agile team to enhance the customer journey and support high-volume transactional web applications. The role is based in London or Nottingham on a hybrid working arrangement, requiring office attendance 2 to 3 times a month. The position is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality, customer-facing applications using React and modern JavaScript (ES6)
• Build scalable, cloud-based solutions using AWS, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Collaborate within an agile team environment, working closely with engineers and QA professionals of varying seniority
• Lead and contribute to a major redesign and optimisation of the customer journey, enhancing both out-of-session and in-session experiences
• Design, run, and analyse A/B tests to improve user engagement, implementing successful variations into the core experience
• Support the delivery of mission-critical, high-volume transactional web applications

Key Skills:

• Minimum 5 years' development experience with React or React based frameworks such as Next.JS, JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, Node.JS, Redux, Express and SCSS / Styled components
• Development experience working with a Microservice architecture consuming REST and GraphQL APIs
• Minimum 5 years' practical experience using CI/CD tools, specifically AWS Code Build and GitHub
• Minimum 5 years' experience working with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest and Enzyme / RTL
• Practical experience working with A/B testing Technologies (experience with Conductrics or equivalent tools such as AB Tasty or Adobe Target acceptable)
• Practical development experience working with a Tagging Technology such as Google Analytics or equivalent
