Summary: The Frontend Developer role in Birmingham is a maternity cover position for up to 12 months, focusing on developing and maintaining web tools and websites. Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining digital web tools and websites.
  • Working on design, layout, coding, and testing of web tools and sites.
  • Diagnosing and fixing issues with online systems.
  • Ensuring web tools run efficiently and suggesting improvements.
  • Using JavaScript, jQuery, React/JSX, HTML5, CSS3, Sass, and Bootstrap to build digital solutions.
  • Creating prototypes and mock-ups for mobile, desktop, and web apps.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners on projects.
  • Keeping documentation up to date and contributing to software architecture decisions.
  • Researching new development approaches and presenting ideas.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth experience in web development.
  • Experience in a contract role.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and .NET.
  • Good working knowledge of CMSs (preferably WordPress).
  • Ability to handle browser compatibility issues and create responsive designs.
  • Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience using git for source code version control.
  • Relevant certification or equivalent experience.
