Summary: We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to design and develop scalable web applications in a hybrid work environment in London. The role requires strong ownership, communication skills, and experience in international settings. The contract is initially for 3 months with potential extensions. The position is classified as inside IR35 with a daily rate of £520.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop responsive, accessible web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Build reusable, scalable UI components and ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with designers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions.
- Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests (Jest, Enzyme).
- Manage releases and provide production support when needed.
- Apply best practices in CI/CD, testing, and Front End tooling (Webpack, Rollup, ESLint).
- Optimize performance and implement accessibility and usability improvements.
- Contribute to Agile processes, including estimation, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Work with tools such as GitHub, JIRA, Figma, VS Code, and CMS platforms like Magnolia or WordPress.
- Follow software engineering best practices and cloud fundamentals in daily development tasks.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with WCAG accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Jest, Enzyme).
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Front End tooling (Webpack, Rollup, ESLint).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with GitHub, JIRA, Figma, VS Code, and CMS platforms.
- Background in Financial Services is a plus.
