Summary: The Front Office Risk Manager is a critical role within a Private Bank, responsible for managing and monitoring risk throughout the client lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide risk-related advice to Front Office Management and client-facing staff.
  • Assess and make decisions related to client risk-related tasks.
  • Deliver risk analysis and drive risk-related initiatives across the Private Bank.
  • Support the Front Office in risk & control self-assessments and operational risk incident handling.
  • Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defence and other stakeholders for cohesive risk management.
  • Prepare and deliver Risk Analysis for supervisory oversight and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive risk awareness and training initiatives within the Front Office.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement change initiatives for risk management processes.

Key Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Front Office Risk, Business Assurance, or Risk Assessment roles.
  • Knowledge of Client Suitability and experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management.
  • Exposure to AML/KYC and Suitability topics.
  • Understanding of Client Onboarding processes.

Our Client Our client is an established Private Bank that operates on a global level.

The Role THIS ROLE IS A 6 MONTH CONTRACT ROLE The Front Office Risk Manager plays a critical role in the 1st Line of Defence (1LoD) supporting the Private Bank in managing and monitoring risk across the entire front office client lifecycle – from onboarding through to client management - assessing and mitigating risk. The Front Office Risk Manager’s key responsibilities include risk-related advice to Front Office Management and client-facing staff, assessment and decision-taking related to client risk-related tasks, deliver risk analysis and drive risk-related initiatives across the Private Bank. The Front Office Risk Manager role requires experience in understanding Client Suitability - regulatory requirements, business needs, and risk management principles to drive informed decision-making and mitigate potential client risks. The Front Office Manager supports the Front Office in performance of risk & control self-assessments, assessment and handling of operational risk incidents, ad hoc business risk and conduct reviews. Collaborates with 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defence, Front Management and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management and highest quality standards. Prepares and delivers Risk Analysis in collaboration to provide transparency and front office supervisory oversight to address any regulatory and quality assurance concerns. The Front Office Risk Manager drives risk awareness and training initiatives. Provides risk-related support and advice for ad-hoc projects The Front Office Risk Manager coordinates and interacts with various internal stakeholders (e.g. compliance, legal, etc.) – leading and implementing change initiatives to improve Front Office and business risk management processes and procedures, ensuring the Front Office team is adaptable to changing regulatory requirements and business needs.

The Candidate At least 3 years of experience in a similar Front Office Risk , Business Assurance , Risk Assessment role in the Private Banking or Wealth Management – working closely with the likes of Private Bankers , Wealth Managers or Investment Managers. Client Suitability knowledge and experience - essential Business, preferably with exposure to AML/KYC and Suitability topics Understanding of Client Onboarding In-depth knowledge of risk management principles and practices across markets Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment
