Summary: The role involves providing desktop and infrastructure support for a prestigious energy trading firm, primarily assisting Front Office Traders and related teams in London or Dusseldorf. The Desktop Analyst will support various applications including Office 365, Bloomberg, and Reuters, ensuring a high level of customer service. Candidates must have relevant experience in energy or commodities trading environments. This is a 6-month contract position classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop and infrastructure support to Front Office Traders, Quants, and Risk Teams.
- Support applications such as Office 365, Azure AD, Citrix, MS Teams, and financial applications like Bloomberg and Reuters.
- Work with VIP and Front Office users to deliver high-quality customer service.
- Assist with account provisioning and configuration of financial applications.
- Work on-site in London or Dusseldorf five days a week.

Ink Search are supporting a prestigious Energy trading firm based in London and Europe. Due to increased headcount and increased pressure on the IT team, the firm have an urgent requirement for a contract Desktop Analyst to join the team in London (or Dusseldorf Germany), and provide infrastructure and desktop support to their growing user base, many of which are Front Office Traders, Quants and Risk Teams. The successful candidate will provide support on Office 365, AD, Account Provisioning, Citrix, MS Teams and Voice applications as well as configuration to Financial applications such as Bloomberg, Trayport and Reuters. You'll work with the VIP and Front Office users and provide Desktop/Deskside support.
The successful candidate MUST:
- Have excellent customer service skills and a polite, helpful, collaborative manner.
- Be happy to work in the London or German office 5 days per week to support the Trading business units.
- Have recent energy or commodities trading company experience, or, direct experience supporting the energy trading business of an investment bank or Hedge Fund.
Unfortunately; those with Non-trading Financial Services experience (asset management, retail banking, insurance, payments), and broader non-financial services experience will not be considered. Please only apply if you meet all of the above criteria.
