Summary: The Peace Museum is seeking two enthusiastic Interpretation Guides to serve as the public face of the gallery during weekends. The role involves engaging with visitors, providing information about the exhibitions, and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment. This position is part of a special exhibition celebrating the Greenham Women's Peace Camp and is set in Bradford, which will be the UK City of Culture in 2025. Successful candidates will gain valuable experience in a unique cultural setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively welcoming and engaging with every visitor to The Peace Museum.
- Responding to enquiries in an approachable and personalised manner.
- Talking about exhibitions and the history of the Greenham Women's Peace Camp (training will be provided).
- Ensuring public spaces are clean, tidy, and presented to a high standard.
- Overseeing the safety of objects in the gallery space.
- Conducting visitor surveys.
- Running the shop, handling payments, and providing a high level of customer service.
- Assisting with the setup and running of events.
- Adhering to Health and Safety guidelines and assisting visitors with access needs.
- Supporting colleagues with occasional general tasks as required.
