Front End QA Engineer

Summary: Our international client seeks a Front End Quality Assurance Engineer with banking industry experience for a freelance B2B contract lasting 16 months, with a strong possibility of extension. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week on-site in Belfast. The position focuses on building and maintaining front-end automation and collaborating with various teams to ensure high-quality releases. Candidates should be proficient in JavaScript and familiar with testing tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain reliable front-end automation using WebDriverIO and Playwright.
• Write clear, well-structured JavaScript test code that’s easy for others to understand, maintain, and extend.
• Partner with engineering, product, and QA teams to shape testing approaches early and support high-quality releases at scale.
• Integrate and run FE testing tools within established CI/CD pipelines, focusing on stability, coverage, and long-term maintainability.
• Review results, investigate failures, and continuously improve test effectiveness while contributing to shared testing standards and best practices.
