Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain responsive, high-quality front-end templates using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement updates across product, collection, and landing pages in line with brand guidelines and commercial priorities.
- Identify and improve site features and maintainability for all team members.
- Assist in the rollout of new site features, ensuring clean, maintainable code and responsive cross-device performance.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate mockups into engaging, user-friendly digital experiences.
- Optimise site performance, page load speeds, and front-end accessibility.
- Support the e-commerce and product team by providing assistance on technical issues with the site/content/product data.
- Work alongside tech, design, content, and e-commerce teams to ensure efficient handover and QA of deliverables.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to support team learning and improvement.
- Stay up to date with Shopify updates, front-end trends, and best practices.
Key Skills:
- Experience in front-end development, ideally within a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Shopify Liquid.
- Demonstrable experience with maintaining live Shopify stores.

The Role We are looking for a Mid-Level Front-End Developer (Shopify) to play a key role in delivering polished, high-performance digital experiences for Club L London and sibling brands. Supporting the Tech and E-Commerce teams primarily, you will bring our brand to life across Shopify storefronts—translating designs into responsive, elegant code that enhances customer journeys, boosts conversion, and aligns with our visual identity. This role blends hands-on development with an understanding of UX, performance optimisation, and cross-departmental collaboration. You’ll work closely with Senior Developers and Designers, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and supporting the rollout of new features, seasonal updates, and performance enhancements. Strong fundamental understanding of Shopify's liquid templating language, javascript, and CI/CD required.
Roles And Responsibilities Shopify Development & Implementation Build and maintain responsive, high-quality front-end templates using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript. Implement updates across product, collection, and landing pages in line with brand guidelines and commercial priorities. Help to identify and improve site features and maintainability for all team-members. A strong understanding of CI/CD is beneficial as all features need to be rigorously tested, across our suite of regional sites. Identify opportunities for improving conversions, performance, and maintenance for teams interacting with the site. Assist in the rollout of new site features, ensuring clean, maintainable code and responsive cross-device performance.
UX & Performance Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate mockups into engaging, user-friendly digital experiences. Optimise site performance, page load speeds, and front-end accessibility. Identify and resolve front-end bugs or inconsistencies across browsers and devices.
Platform & CMS Support Support the e-commerce and product team by providing assistance on technical issues with the site / content / product data. Develop features that assist in the execution of their roles, with customizable, intuitive sections and blocks. Support A/B tests, custom blocks, and enhancements using Shopify’s customiser tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work alongside tech, design, content, and e-commerce teams to ensure efficient handover and QA of deliverables. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to support team learning and improvement. Stay up to date with Shopify updates, front-end trends, and best practices.
