Front End Developer

Summary: The role of Front End Developer involves joining a high-performing team to work on modern, scalable web applications within the COTAX programme for the Government/Public Sector. The position requires expertise in various Front End technologies and offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful digital services. The contract is for 6 months with a hybrid working arrangement. The role is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop modern, scalable web applications using cutting-edge Front End technologies.
• Collaborate with a high-performing team to deliver impactful digital services.
• Ensure applications are SSR-ready and adhere to progressive enhancement principles.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code within agile environments.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience with modern React frameworks, particularly Remix and/or React Router v7.
• Proven ability to build SSR-ready applications with a solid understanding of progressive enhancement.
• Hands-on experience developing applications using the MUI React component library.
• Demonstrable experience building robust, scalable applications using TypeScript.
• Experience with modern E2E testing frameworks, especially Playwright.
• Strong Front End engineering mindset with attention to performance and usability.
• Ability to work within agile, collaborative environments.

Key Skills & Experience

• React Frameworks
  Strong experience with modern React frameworks, particularly Remix and/or React Router v7
• Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
  Proven ability to build SSR-ready applications with a solid understanding of progressive enhancement and its importance
• Material-UI (MUI)
  Hands-on experience developing applications using the MUI React component library
• TypeScript
  Demonstrable experience building robust, scalable applications using TypeScript
• End-to-End Testing (E2E)
  Experience with modern E2E testing frameworks, especially Playwright
