Summary: The Front-End Developer role is a 6-month contract position with a leading public sector client, offering hybrid working arrangements in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in modern front-end technologies and practices, with a strong emphasis on collaboration between technical and non-technical teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain front-end applications using modern JavaScript practices and technologies.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate technical concepts.
- Write unit and integration tests, and implement CI/CD practices.
- Mentor colleagues and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Design and develop accessible websites in compliance with WCAG.
Key Skills:
- Experience with React, Typescript, NodeJS, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, Webpack, and React Testing Library.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservice design patterns.
- Familiarity with programming best practices and CI/CD principles.
- Ability to bridge communication between technical and non-technical teams.
- Commercial experience in building accessible websites.
