Summary: RINA is seeking an experienced Friction Testing Inspector to conduct inspection activities for clients in the UK. The role requires a mechanically inclined inspector or engineer with a background in mechanical engineering and friction testing experience. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of inspection experience and the ability to prepare inspection reports. The position is available for freelancers or inspector agencies for ad hoc activities in Aberdeen, England.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection activities on behalf of RINA for clients in the UK.
- Conduct daily inspections or short-term/long-term project inspections at vendor premises.
- Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients and understand international standards/codes.
- Invoice services as a freelancer or through an inspector agency/society.
Key Skills:
- Mechanical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, or relevant high school branches.
- Experience as a Mechanical Inspector (minimum 3 years).
- Friction testing experience.
- Understanding or experience with offshore pipelay is a plus.
- Ability to communicate in English for reporting and client interaction.

Requested : Mechanical inspector with friction testing experience Mechanically inclined inspector or engineer. Understanding or experience with offshore pipelay is a plus Mechanical Degree ( Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering or graduate from high school in relevant branches) / certificates such as NDT, welding, coating, etc. Experience as Mechanical Inspector (min. 3 years); Inspectors should have inspection experience at the vendor’s premises.
