Key Responsibilities:
- Support core functions of the Shipping team.
- Ensure freight invoices are processed only when actual services are provided.
- Process freight invoices related to inbound/outbound material based on production volumes.
- Collate metrics, analysis, and general administration related to freight invoices and shipping performance.
- Focus on continuous improvement and complete 1PD's to support process improvements.
- Undertake training and further learning as required.

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Freight Analyst for a leading multi-national engine manufacturing client based in Desford. This is an initial 12 month contract position working on site 5 days a week. Pay rate is £17.21ph PAYE or £23.57ph Umbrella. Potential start date for the role is January-February time in 2026.
Duties of the role/Responsibilities
- Support core functions of the Shipping team.
- Ensuring freight invoices are only processed when the actual service is provided to the company.
- Processing of freight invoices related to inbound/outbound material which fluctuates in line with production volumes.
- Collate Metrics, analysis and general administration related to freight invoices and shipping performance.
- Focus on Continuous improvement and completing 1PD's to support process improvements.
- Undertake training/further learning as required.
Education/Experience
- The ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions/procedures.
- The ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed objectives.
- You will possess effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organisation.
- Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Powerpoint & Word.
