Freelance Website Designer £300 per day

We want to update our website to attract, engage and convert customers who are seeking classification solutions across a variety of sectors. We are looking for a freelance London-based designer with experience of building websites for a short contract.

The Brief We are looking for a web designer who can bring their design flair, ideas and experience to improve and enhance our website www.tarifftel.com using modern tools and templates. Our clients range from supermarkets to aerospace manufacturers who are importing goods across the world, and we’re looking for a freelance designer who can tell the story of the benefits of a classification specialist in the product supply chain on a website that is trustworthy, informative, high scoring on SEO and reflects our values of integrity, innovation, and collaboration.

Your Role To qualify for this role you must have a strong track record of building successful corporate websites, with a fresh portfolio and examples of how your work wins over customers. We’d like you to take a lead in proposing the theme, design, layout and information architecture, taking and creating digital assets and UI elements that enhance the site and allow us to use it as a working tool for our business. It will become a site we can keep up to date and evolve as we go to market. Layout, typography, colour schemes, structure … are all up for review. We want the design to be responsive and user-friendly, with content that is both approachable and authoritative in our domain of expertise. You will know how to use analytics to improve organisation, navigation, workflow and UX, especially in an era where AI search tools give definitive one-time results. You’ll work closely with our leadership, marketing and software development teams, presenting ideas and listening to feedback, from wireframe to final build. We expect that the assets you produce for the website will shape and improve our physical marketing materials too, like conference stands and brochures. While you’ll work independently, we’d like you to work with us in our office in central London.

Outcome We’re looking for a website that presents our products attractively, is quick to navigate, easy to sign up, clear and well presented, that carries our key value proposition, with good SEO performance and strong conversion.
