Freelance Software Engineer

You will work in a cross-functional team alongside product managers, designers, and engineers, contributing to a modern tech stack. The focus spans product development, platform services, and infrastructure tooling, depending on team priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain software applications using relevant programming languages and frameworks
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with clear effort estimation
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following established patterns and standards
• Improve code quality through refactoring and strong test automation practices
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability
• Take ownership of services end-to-end, including monitoring, deployment, and production operations
• Handle technical incidents and participate in root cause analysis and postmortems
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions
• Continuously optimize systems, processes, and workflows
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Solid experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Python, or similar)
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and system design principles
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and automation
• Familiarity with cloud environments and infrastructure tooling
• Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
