Summary: The Freelance SHEQ Advisor/Consultant will oversee health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) aspects on small to medium-sized projects within the waste and renewable energy sectors. The role involves conducting risk assessments, site audits, and leading health and safety initiatives while being site-based five days a week. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee HSEQ on small-medium sized schemes.
- Create and complete risk assessments and method statements.
- Conduct site audits and inspections regularly.
- Lead and deliver health & safety initiatives.
- Raise awareness of risks and hazards with the support of the HSEQ team.
- Work on-site five days per week.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a SHEQ role within waste/energy for waste or engineering environments.
- Working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures.
- Understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001).
- NEBOSH qualification.
- Minimum of a few years' experience in a SHEQ role.

Your new company
Your new company is a specialist contractor, operating primarily in the waste and renewable energy sectors with a continuously expanding portfolio of works. Due to recent contract awards, the company are expanding in size and profile and are now seeking a Freelance SHEQ Advisor/Consultant to join their experienced HSEQ team.
Your new role
As a SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing HSEQ on a range of small-medium sized schemes. You will create and complete risk assessments and method statements alongside conducting site audits and inspections on a regular basis. You will lead and deliver health & safety initiatives with the support of a strong HSEQ team to help raise awareness of risks and hazards. You will be site-based 5 days per week.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a previous track record working in a similar role within a waste/energy for waste or engineering environment. Previous experience is beneficial. You'll demonstrate a working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with a sound understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You must be qualified to NEBOSH level and have a minimum of a few years' experience within a SHEQ role.
