The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead the engineering function on site while providing technical support to the wider construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of two Site Engineers.
- Carry out and manage as-built surveys.
- Oversee Quality Assurance processes and documentation.
- Produce and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Complete material take-offs.
- Provide technical support to the site management team.
- Manage Temporary Works and associated documentation.
- Liaise with the client, architects and structural engineers to resolve design and technical issues.
- Manage permits and underground services on site.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with programme.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Site Engineer on large-scale industrial, commercial or logistics developments.
- Strong background in groundworks, RC frames, infrastructure and steel frame construction.
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Excellent setting out, surveying and QA experience.
- Strong understanding of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality management processes.
- Experience managing Temporary Works.
- Confident liaising with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- EUSR Category 2 & Genny certification is highly desirable.
