Summary: Middle Passage Events CIC is seeking a freelance sponsorship sales representative to support their inaugural cultural event on Black Britain in London 2026. The role involves identifying potential brand sponsors and leveraging industry contacts to secure partnerships that align with the event's mission of celebrating Black culture. The ideal candidate should have experience in events, music, or community-driven brands and be confident in pitching sponsorship opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach potential brand sponsors in lifestyle, culture, drinks, fashion, and community sectors
- Leverage existing industry contacts and networks to initiate sponsorship conversations
- Understand and communicate the event’s mission, values, and audience appeal clearly and persuasively
- Present and adapt our sponsorship deck to suit different brands' interests and goals
- Build and maintain relationships with potential sponsors, from first contact to signed agreement
- Collaborate with the core team to align on partnership strategy, messaging, and targets
- Keep simple records of outreach, leads, and progress (templates provided)
Key Skills:

We’re seeking a freelance sponsorship sales rep to support our inaugural cultural event on Black Britain, taking place in London 2026 , supported by Hackney Council. We're very excited about the event! The ideal candidate has experience and/or contacts in events, music, arts, or community-driven brands and is confident pitching partnership opportunities. You’ll be selling from a clear sponsorship deck, with flexible hours (tbd) and 10% commission on all confirmed sponsorship revenue. Freelance/contractor status required.
