Freelance Residential AV Engineer

Summary: The role of Freelance Residential AV Engineer involves working on luxury residential projects along the M3 Corridor, focusing on both 1st and 2nd fix AV installations. The technician will be responsible for the installation, programming, and testing of various AV control systems, ensuring high-quality work and collaboration with other trades on-site. Key Responsibilities:

• 1st Fix AV Installation: running cables, setting up infrastructure before walls and ceilings are completed.
• 2nd Fix AV Installation: installing in-ceiling speakers, AV control systems, and other equipment post-decoration.
• Installing, programming, and testing AV control systems such as Lutron, KNX, Crestron, Rako and Control4.
• Collaborating with other trades on-site to ensure a seamless integration of AV systems.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard with attention to detail.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in 1st and 2nd fix AV installations.
• Experience working with luxury residential properties.
• Proficiency in installing and configuring Lutron/KNX and/or Control4 systems.
• Knowledge of in-ceiling speaker installations and AV control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanour.
