Key Responsibilities:
- Financial management and valuation of highways projects

Key Skills:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the highways and/or local authority sectors
- Sound understanding of cost-value reporting and project financials
- Working knowledge of NEC form of contract, ideally NEC4 (Options B and C)
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Full UK driving licence.

Your new companyYou will be joining an industry-leading contractor based in Doncaster operating within the highways industry. Well-known for their collaborative culture and commitment to progressive change, this multi-accredited contractor is appointed on multiple major highways frameworks across England and Wales and as they continue to grow, they are looking for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a Full time freelance position based out of their Doncaster office (40 hours per week) with hybrid working and occasional site visits. There is the opportunity for the right candidate to become permanent.
Your new roleAs Quantity Surveyor, you'll be the commercial lead for your business area, providing essential financial and contractual support across projects in England and Wales. You'll work closely with operational teams, ensuring accurate cost-value reporting and maintaining strong client relationships.
