Your new role
You will be joining the operational team as a Project Manager/Senior Site Manager on a new-build substation control room and associated fit-out.
You will be building a two-storey steel frame building with steel cladding and be responsible for but not limited to:
- Planning daily work schedules and coordinating workers on site.
- Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
- Supervising and providing guidance to construction workers and subcontractors.
- Ensuring materials are supplied and work is completed on schedule.
- Preparing and submitting project estimates and budgets.
- Documenting and reporting progress to stakeholders and adhering to compliance regulations
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have experience working as a Site Manager or a Project Manager within the Construction and Civil Engineering industry.
As mentioned, the project is building a new substation control room and the associated fit-out afterwards.
Therefore, you will need experience working on a steel-frame building with cladding involving dry-lining, fire stopping, fire beam encasement and floor finishes.
Furthermore, you will be competent with contractual work and paperwork.
Qualifications wise: you will have SMSTS and a NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management
