Summary: The Freelance Organic Facebook Social Media Manager will oversee the Facebook presence for the Optical Illusions Museum on Oxford Street, focusing on strategic content creation and community engagement. Key Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy & Planning
- Curate and maintain a content calendar (minimum 4 posts per week)
- Plan a mix of content captured by our team, museum staff (or yourself on-site)
- Optimise content for Facebook - understanding what drives reach, shares, and saves on the platform
- Align with museum themes, campaigns, and key events
- Write captivating, platform-optimised captions tailored for Facebook audiences
- Source or capture supporting visuals and short clips that fit the museum’s tone: playful, curious, family-friendly
- Adapt messaging for different post types
- Community Building & Engagement
- Engage daily with the audience: reply to comments, encourage conversation, and foster a sense of community
- Respond promptly and appropriately to DMs and inquiries
- Know where to “show up”: in groups, comment threads, and local digital spaces where London families spend time
- Build authentic relationships that drive visitation and word-of-mouth
- Performance & Reporting: provide monthly reports to Just Peachy summarising performance insights, growth, engagement trends, and recommendations
- Track and measure engagement, reach, and sentiment and adapt strategies accordingly
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing Facebook pages for brands or cultural attractions
- Knowledge of algorithm-friendly post formats and engagement best practices for Facebook in 2025

About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and proactive Facebook Social Media Manager to take the reins of the Facebook presence for a mind-bending optical illusions museum based on Oxford Street. This is a role for someone who specialises in Facebook and knows how to make content perform, reach the right audiences, and build a genuine community around curiosity, creativity, and family-friendly fun. You’ll work closely with the Just Peachy team (we remain the main point of contact for the client) to plan, optimise, and manage all Facebook activity.
