Summary: The role of Freelance Men's Footwear Designer involves joining a leading fashion accessories brand for approximately four weeks starting in January. The designer will work within a team, reporting to the Design Manager, and will be expected to contribute creatively while demonstrating strong knowledge of luxury and high street trends. The position requires a flexible mindset and the ability to manage one's own workload while collaborating effectively with others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have solid commercial and industry relevant experience across men’s footwear
- Be engaged and enthusiastic about the fashion industry with strong knowledge of luxury and high street trends
- Contribute and apply fashion knowledge to the brand
- Passion for product with technical understanding
- Create branding and hardware design integral to the brand DNA
- Excellent communication skills with team, other teams, and suppliers
- Eye for presentations and confidence to present ideas to the team
- Ability to interpret relevant trends that can inspire all collections
- Flexible mindset that can adapt & manage their own workload
- Be a team player but also motivated to work independently
Key Skills:
- 4+ years commercial/industry experience working for men's fashion footwear brands
- A well-rounded portfolio showcasing creativity, versatility, and technical skillset
- Degree in fashion design, footwear & accessories
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Drawing & CAD skills are essential
- Proficient use of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop specifically)
- PowerPoint / Office software proficiency

We have an exciting role for an experienced Freelance Men's Footwear Designer to join a leading fashion accessories brand. This position aims to start in Jan for approx 4 weeks. You will join a great team of designers reporting into the Design Manager. Offices are in London and they work hybrid 3-4 days in the office, 1-2 days remote.
DAY RATE: £300
