Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct End Point Assessments independently in line with NOCN's quality assurance standards.
- Assess apprentices against the relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors (KSBs) through practical assessments, interviews, and tests.
- Upload assessment reports promptly according to service level agreements.
- Prepare for assessments and identify gaps in apprentices' KSBs.
- Build rapport with apprentices to facilitate optimal performance during assessments.
- Maintain hands-on continuing professional development (CPD) in the subject area.
- Represent NOCN professionally during assessments.
- Adhere to GDPR practices to ensure data security.
- Moderate other assessors' work in accordance with internal quality assurance procedures.
Key Skills:
- Recent, relevant experience in the Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump sector at least at occupational Level 3 within the last 5 years.
- Professional body membership with the Institute of Refrigeration.
- Assessor qualification (A1 or equivalent) or working towards it.

NOCN Group are seeking a freelance End Point Assessor/ IQA with significant experience in the Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump sector, to help carry out End Point Assessments for the Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard.
Location: Travel maybe required to sites in the Liverpool/North West region
Hours: Freelance
Purpose and Objectives: Ensuring End Point Assessments are carried out independently and meet NOCN's quality assurance Standards
To complete assessments in accordance with the prescribed assessment instruments as defined within the End Point Assessment plan
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessing the apprentice against the relevant Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors throughout the Practical Assessments (with questions), Interview underpinned by a Portfolio of Evidence and a Multiple-Choice Test in accordance with the End Point Assessment plan.
- Upload reports from the assessments in a timely manner and in line with NOCN's service level agreements.
- Prepare for assessments in a timely manner and be able to identify gaps in the apprentice's KSBs
- Be able to build a quick rapport with apprentices to ensure that they can perform their best within assessments
- Maintaining hands on CPD in their subject area to ensure knowledge is up to date.
- Represent NOCN in a professional manner when conducting assessments.
- Adhering to GDPR practices and ensuring all data is secure.
- Moderate other assessor's work in line with internal quality assurance procedures
The role requirements are:
- have recent, relevant experience of the occupation or sector to at least occupational Level 3 gained in the last 5 years or significant experience of the occupation or sector
- have professional body membership with the Institute of Refrigeration
- hold/working towards an assessor qualification (A1 or equivalent)
