Summary: The Freelance Data Scientist role is focused on supporting a life sciences organization in Munich with data-driven insights for clinical development and regulatory-grade analytics. The position requires collaboration with scientific teams and the development of analytical solutions to meet regulatory standards. The role is hybrid, requiring 1-2 days of on-site work per week. Candidates should have a strong background in pharma, biotech, or CRO environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver data science models and workflows to support clinical research or drug development.
- Work with complex datasets including clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and observational studies.
- Ensure analytics outputs meet regulatory standards and are audit-ready.
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work 1-2 days per week on-site in Munich; the remainder remote.
Key Skills:
- Prior freelance experience supporting pharma or CRO projects.
- Deep understanding of clinical trial data, CDISC standards (e.g. SDTM, ADaM), and regulatory frameworks (e.g. GxP, GDPR).
- Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Available for full-time project work with some on-site presence in Munich.
