Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking condition surveys of blue light operational buildings
  • Inspecting building fabric, M&E interfaces, and external elements
  • Identifying defects, prioritising remedial works, and assessing risk
  • Producing clear, structured condition survey reports in line with programme requirements
  • Working to agreed survey methodologies, formats, and timescales
  • Liaising professionally with site contacts in live operational environments

Key Skills:

  • Qualified Building Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent preferred, but not essential with relevant experience)
  • Proven experience delivering condition surveys, ideally within public sector or blue light estates
  • Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
  • Strong reporting and technical writing skills
  • Ability to work within secure and sensitive environments
  • Valid driving licence preferred

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to support a blue light condition survey programme across London. This is a short-term contract role, well suited to a surveyor with strong condition surveying experience within occupied, operational buildings and a good understanding of public sector estates.
