Fractional Chief Marketing Officer | Ethical FinTech Start-Up | 2-3 days per week

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with an Innovative and ethically focussed FinTech Start-up who have experienced significant growth over the past few years. They are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer to join their 50-person team on a 2-3 days per week basis for an initial 6-month basis, with the likelihood the contract is extended thereafter. Having diversified their product offering, they are looking for an experienced CMO to take their branding and outreach to the next level. Our client is a start-up who have carved out their own niche in the ethical banking sector which is proving to be an ever more lucrative endeavour. Their continued innovation and impressive devotion to providing top quality services is matched by their purpose before profit nature. This gives our client huge growth potential but also an opportunity to make an impact to many lives.

The Role

Our client is looking for someone who can align marketing with the overall strategy of the business. This will likely involve performing an audit of the current marketing strategies and providing high level analysis to deduce which strategies are offering the greatest ROI. Working directly with the CEO & CSO, the ideal candidate would have an innate ability to partner across departments and ensure marketing alignment with the wider business strategy

  • Perform an audit on the current marketing strategies and deduce how to obtain the greatest ROI.
  • Remain hands on and think commercially about how the business is positioning itself to potential client, weaving this into the strategies moving forward.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a CMO within a scaling, fast-growth business.
  • Commercially minded.
  • A real self-starter who has previously led marketing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, brand management, and digital marketing strategies (including an understanding of SEO and paid advertising).
  • Experience working with various marketing tech platforms and CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience within a Tech enabled start-up up would be a bonus.
  • Understanding of regulated finance.

Location: East London, 2-3 days per week in the office

Day Rate: £700-£800/day

Contract Length: 6 Months (potential to extend)
