Summary: The FRA Site Manager role involves overseeing daily site operations in Birmingham, focusing on fire risk assessments and the installation of passive fire protection systems. The position requires strong leadership and compliance with fire safety regulations while managing subcontractors and ensuring project delivery within budget and timelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily site operations and supervise subcontractors and site teams
- Conduct and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRA)
- Oversee installation and remediation of Passive Fire Protection (PFP) systems including fire doors, fire stopping, and compartmentation works
- Manage and deliver remediation works, including fire safety defect rectification and non-compliant installation corrections
- Ensure all works comply with fire strategy documents, building regulations, and industry standards
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and third-party certifications
- Maintain detailed compliance records and site documentation
- Enforce strict health & safety procedures
- Liaise with clients, consultants, residents, and regulatory authorities
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager
- Demonstrable experience in Fire Risk Assessment
- Strong working knowledge of Passive Fire Protection systems
- Proven experience managing fire safety remediation projects
- Understanding of current fire safety legislation and compliance requirements
- SMSTS certification
- Valid CSCS card
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to interpret fire strategy documents and technical drawings
