Summary: The FPGA Engineer role focuses on designing and implementing FPGA-based systems for advanced aerospace and aviation projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement FPGA-based system solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Create, update and manage technical documentation to support project delivery and compliance standards
- Conduct detailed calculations, simulations and component optimisation to enhance system efficiency and functionality
- Support the design and manufacturing of electronic systems
Key Skills:
- EU citizenship
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar, relevant field)
- Hands on FPGA development experience
- Experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Mentor Graphics ModelSim)
- Familiarity with embedded systems integration and hardware/software co-design
- Strong knowledge of VHDL
- Experience with C and Python
- Previous experience within the Aerospace/Aviation sector
- Understanding of signal processing, avionics, or satellite communication systems
- Awareness of industry standards such as DO-254 or ECSS
