The Role
As Interim FP&A Manager, you’ll take ownership of core FP&A activity across the business, providing robust analysis, forecasting, and commercial insight to support decision-making.
You’ll work closely with Finance and Operations stakeholders to understand performance, challenge assumptions, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes, ensuring assumptions are robust and clearly understood
- Developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making
- Producing insightful management reporting and performance analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities
- Partnering closely with operational teams to understand underlying performance, challenge assumptions, and improve financial outcomes
- Working with large and complex datasets, improving data quality and turning raw information into clear, commercially relevant insight
- Developing and improving reporting tools and processes to provide greater visibility across the business
- Supporting senior finance stakeholders with ad hoc analysis, modelling, and decision support as the business continues to scale
- Identifying opportunities to use AI tools and automation to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of FP&A activity
Your Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), ideally with 3 – 4 years+ post-qualified experience
- Strong FP&A background with experience across budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and management reporting
- Highly analytical, with strong data skills and the ability to work confidently with large and complex datasets
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience building and maintaining sophisticated financial models
- Commercially minded, with proven experience business partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders
- Confident using technology and AI tools, with a genuine interest in finding smarter and more efficient ways of working
- Ambitious, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced, scaling environment
- Experience in an investor-backed, infrastructure, technology, or high-growth business is advantageous
Compensation & Benefits
This Interim FP&A Manager role is offered as a 6-month contract at £400 – £525 per day outside IR35, and provides:
