Summary: The Foundation Transport & Installation Package Manager will oversee the safe and efficient transport and installation of wind turbine generator foundations for the Awel Y Mor Offshore Wind Farm. This role requires significant experience in project management within offshore wind projects, focusing on transportation and installation processes. The position involves collaboration with a multinational team and requires strong communication skills and a commitment to health and safety standards. The role is freelance and outside IR35, based in Swindon and London, with a duration extending from February 2026 to February 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the transportation and installation of foundation structures according to project metrics, budget, and quality standards.
- Work as part of a multi-discipline team to ensure safe and timely project delivery.
- Negotiate and manage transport and installation contracts with support from relevant functions.
- Develop and maintain the package programme and budget, managing risks and opportunities.
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Ensure HSE performance and regulatory compliance in collaboration with the Principal Contractor.
- Report to the project leadership team in accordance with project governance.
Key Skills:
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, Marine Logistics, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Significant experience in project management for offshore wind farm projects.
- Knowledge of transportation and installation of offshore foundations.
- Experience with contracts in offshore construction and vessel chartering.
- Competence in HSE aspects of offshore construction and site management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.

CERTIFICATIONS
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Marine Logistics, Renewable Energy or another closely related engineering or science area.
- Have significant demonstratable experience in the project management of the successful and safe execution of offshore wind farm projects.
- Have significant demonstratable experience of, and knowledge in, the transportation and installation of offshore foundations.
- Have demonstratable experience of the contracts used in offshore in offshore construction and vessel chartering.
- Have comprehensive and demonstratable competence in HSE aspects of offshore construction and site management; including working in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 [H&S@W 1974] and CDM 2015.

SCOPE OF WORKS
- The planning, coordination and execution of the transportation & installation of foundation structures in accordance with key project metrics programme, budget, quality and in accordance with industry best practice.
- Working efficiently as part of a multi-discipline, matrix team of functional specialists dedicated to ensuring the safe, timely and value optimised delivery of the works.
- The negotiation, and subsequent management, of transport and installation contracts with support from Contract Management, Procurement and Legal and other specialist functions.
- Developing and maintaining, with support of specialist functions, the package programme and budget ensuring the effective management of risk, opportunities and maintaining a focus on value.
- Interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders [contractor, marine warranty survey, regulator bodies, etc] ensuring efficient and timely delivery of the works.
- HSE performance within the package, including close collaboration with Principal Contractor to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Reporting to project leadership team in line with Project Management Framework and project governance.
