Day-to-day of the role of a Forensic Science Lecturer :
- Teach and assess a range of Biology, Chemistry, and Forensic Science units from Level 2 up to Level 3 across various courses.
- Act as a course tutor for Forensic Science students, supporting them effectively in all aspects of their learning.
- Facilitate internal moderation and quality assurance processes.
- Liaise effectively with employers, universities, awarding bodies, and their representatives.
- Support students in finding and completing mandatory work experience.
- Produce high-quality course documentation and maintain accurate student records.
- Develop and coordinate new and existing courses in response to curriculum changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Honours Degree in Science/Forensic Science or a relevant subject.
- Teaching qualification or a willingness to gain one.
- Experience in teaching or training in Science or Forensic Science-related subjects.
- Ability to produce high-quality assessment materials that comply with National Standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
