Summary: The Forensic Accounting Analyst role is a one-year placement based in Leeds, designed for university students pursuing a degree in Accounting and Finance. This position offers hands-on experience in forensic accounting, involving support for various cases such as fraud investigations and commercial disputes. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of proposals for new business opportunities
- Reviewing case instructions to understand client requirements
- Supporting the client onboarding process, including drafting engagement letters, scoping documents, and completing internal compliance checks
- Attending fact-finding meetings to gather information
- Reviewing case files, including pleadings, expert reports, and medical records
- Conducting research using public sources to summarise information on relevant businesses
- Analysing financial documents, including statements, bank records, and invoices
- Researching industries to provide context for case work
- Converting and analysing bank statements
- Supporting internal case management, including record-keeping, billing, and file organisation
Key Skills:
- Strong academic record with a minimum of two A’s and a B at A-level (or equivalent, excluding general studies)
- Currently studying for a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
