What is the job role? All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role. We are recruiting to several casual positions for Food Service Assistants within Housing with Care. We provide a hot lunch time meal to our clients on a daily basis. Your role will include providing a welcoming and responsive environment to ensure tenants feel safe and valued. As part of the team, you will maintain high standards of food hygiene/cleanliness in line with best practice, and to ensure compliance with The role will involve:
- Cook and serve hot meals
- Food preparation to include the use of microwaves and ovens
- Kitchen Cleaning
- Washing up
All positions are casual and working hours are between 9.30am – 3.00pm we offer a 7-day service. You will require good oral and written skills in communicating with a variety of people. You will be required to work alone and prioritise your workload and to prepare, cook and present meals for a diverse client group. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for? The ideal candidate will have some experience of working in a catering environment, have some knowledge of Health and Safety practices, and have the ability to carry out lifting and carrying duties. You must also have, or train towards, Basic Food Safety Level 2 certificate and be willing to undertake any other training applicable to this role.
